What a week it’s been for EST. First I want to thank Kate for this opportunity to be a part of something so cool, and also everything she does for EST! So as good as this week was for everyone and the team, it also was an emotional one. Unfortunately we lost someone that shared the same love for the music as the rest of us, Cody Hartwell. It’s never easy having to hear about losing a fellow rager. Kells to no surprise at all posted a pretty heartfelt picture on his Instagram to talk about Cody’s passing. Thanks for repping this movement, Cody. Lace Up forever brother.
In other EST happenings earlier this week Kells made an appearance at Ventura, CA Warped Tour….to perform with Linkin Park!! That was so cool. And what an experience it would have been to see that in person. There are some videos on YouTube of the performance so check those out! Also this week we got the premiere of the Steve Aoki music video for Free the Madness with Kells, and I have to say that was one of the coolest/funniest videos I’ve seen in a while. The Girl Scout fight was so cool, the directors killed it for sure. Definitely another great collab. You can purchase the track now on iTunes, go get that!

And while were on the topic of fEST….some of the lineup has been announced! The legendary Juvenile will be there! How hype is that set gonna be!? Along with Nipsey Hussle, Tezo, our hippy MODSUN, Legit Paper team and DJ EV, Dub and much more! And this is only part of the lineup! More of it will be announced soon according to the team. The first movie K is in finally has a trailer! You can watch that HERE some people have spotted Kells in it, but you gotta be quick! Haha I can’t wait to see our dude on the big screen!
Old Light New Lights is out and we’ve had it for a couple of weeks now. Who is still banging the record like me!? Shoutout to Dub for dropping that right in time for summer! Can’t get enough of it. What’s everyone’s favorite track and what songs do you want to see videos for? Dub is staying busy because he’s also on the Guilty 4 Grinding tour with Tezo! They still have dates left in Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Indiana and Michigan.
